Miao Ruilin
Miao Ruilin (; born November 1964) is a former Chinese politician, best known for his term as Mayor of Nanjing. In November 2018 he was placed under investigation by the Chinese Communist Party's anti-corruption agency. At the time he was serving as vice governor of Jiangsu. He was a deputy to the 18th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and a delegate the 11th and 12th National People's Congress. Early life and education Miao was born in Rudong County, Jiangsu. He graduated from the Jiangsu Agricultural College, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in agriculture followed by a doctorate in land management. Career He has served in various government roles, including chief of the Jiangsu Agricultural Resources Development Bureau, the deputy Communist Party Secretary, Mayor, and Party Secretary of the city of Suqian. Wu Zhenglong (; born November 1964) is a Chinese politician and who is currently a State councillor, state councilor and the Secretary-General of the State Council, secretary-general of the State Council. Previously, he was the Governor of Jiangsu and also served as Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary of Nanjing and Jiangsu. Born in Jiangsu, Wu served in Chongqing, then Shanxi, earlier in his career, before being transferred back to his home province, where he experienced a series of rapid promotions.
