Mi (film)
''Mi'' ( my, မီ) is a 2018 Burmese drama film, written and directed by Na Gyi. Paing Phyo Thu portrayed as the lead character "Mi", along with Nay Toe as Thaw Swe. The film is an adaptation of the novel "Mi" by prominent and well-respected novelist, Kyi Aye. ''Mi'' was produced by Victoria Film Production and premiered in Myanmar on November 9, 2018. Despite the high expectations, the film was well received by the audience. There were harsh public criticisms at Myanmar Academy Awards (2018) for leaving ''Mi'' with no award. Na Gyi
Na Gyi ( my, ဏကြီး; born 2 May 1981) is a Burmese film director, known for his films, ''Mi (film), Mi'' (2018) and ''What Happened to the Wolf?'' (2021). He is considered a promising and prominent filmmaker in Myanmar Cinema. He is one of the founders of Fatty Gangster Production and works as a freelance director, director of photography, and writer. He has produced and directed feature films, music videos, and television commercials. Early life and education Na Gyi was born in Yangon, Myanmar on 2 May 1981. He passed matriculation from Basic Education High School No. 1 Dagon, BEHS (1), Dagon in 1998. During the study of engineering at Yangon Technology University, he left for London for further study. Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease usually caused by ''Mycobacterium tuberculosis'' (MTB) bacteria. Tuberculosis generally affects the lungs, but it can also affect other parts of the body. Kyi Aye
Kyi Kyi Tin-Myint, known by her pen name Kyi Aye ( my, ကြည်အေး) was a Burmese poet, novelist, and short story writer. Born in Yangon, she studied at University of Medicine and University of Yangon. She is credited as one of the most influential Burmese writers for several generations, however, her works remain largely unknown outside Burmese language. Life and career Kyi Kyi was born in British Burma's Hledan, Yangon district on 13 December 1929, the third child of U Han and Daw Ngwai Yon. In 1948, the year Burma regained its independence from the British, she began attending Rangoon University. She began as a medical student, but changed course in her third year, finishing school with a bachelor of arts instead.
