Dō (philosophy)
The Tao or Dao is the natural way of the universe, primarily as conceived in East Asian philosophy and East Asian religions, religion. This seeing of life cannot be grasped as a concept. Rather, it is seen through actual living experience of one's everyday being. The concept is represented by the Chinese character , which has meanings including 'way', 'path', 'road', and sometimes 'doctrine' or 'principle'. In the ''Tao Te Ching'', the ancient philosopher Laozi explains that the Tao is not a name for a thing, but the underlying natural order of the universe whose ultimate essence is difficult to circumscribe because it is non-conceptual yet evident in one's being of aliveness. The Tao is "eternally nameless" and should be distinguished from the countless named things that are considered to be its manifestations, the reality of life before its descriptions of it. Description and uses of the concept The word "Tao" has a variety of meanings in both the ancient and modern Chin ...

Michi (cat)
Michi, also known as Embassy Cat, was the pet cat of Julian Assange from May 2016 until November 2018, when he reportedly gave away the cat, or April 2019, when he was evicted from the Ecuadorian embassy. In November 2018 the Ecuadorian embassy set a series of house rules in place for Assange, including that he was responsible for the cat's "well-being, food, and hygiene"; his lawyer called this requirement to care for his cat "denigrating", and according to NPR his failure to do so arguably played "a small role" in him being evicted from the embassy. Origin Assange obtained the cat in 2016, saying it was a gift from his children. This has been disputed, with ''The New Yorker'' quoting a friend of Assange who said "Julian stared at the cat for about half an hour, trying to figure out how it could be useful, and then came up with this: Yeah, let's say it's from my children. For a time, he said it didn't have a name because there was a competition in Ecuador, with schoolchildren, o ...

Michi (Hikaru Utada Song)
is a song by Japanese singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada. It was released on the main Japanese radio stations on September 13, 2016, and digitally on September 16, 2016. Background and composition "Michi" is an up-tempo J-pop song with an arrangement made entirely out of electronic synthesizers and drums. Apart from a few anglicisms and three lines in its chorus, it is completely in Japanese. It features an optimistic melody, while its lyrics talk about the singer walking a "lonely road", even though she couldn't feel completely alone, as the memory of the person she lost is still with her and guiding her through dark times. In an interview, she explained that it is a "danceable" song, meant to "reiterate that she is doing okay" after the loss of her mother Keiko Fuji (5 July 1951 – 22 August 2013), known primarily by the stage name was a Japanese singer and actress. She had success in Japan in the 1960s and 1970s with her ballad-type songs. She was married on-and-off wit ...
