Mette Madsen
Mette Marie Madsen (née Fruensgaard; 3 July 1924 – 12 December 2015) was a Danish politician for the Venstre political party, autobiographer and writer. She was the minister representing the North Jutland constituency in the Folketing between 1971 and 1988 and she was the Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs from 1984 to 1988 during the premiership of Poul Schlüter. Madsen was a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the first female chair of the Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education and Information and both the chair of the supervisory committee of both the Danish Arts Foundation and the Royal Danish Theatre. She was appointed Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog and received other foreign awards. Mette Winge (5 January 1937 – 15 April 2022, Copenhagen) was a Danish writer, literary critic and director of cultural radio broadcasting at Danmarks Radio. She made her debut as a writer in 1988 with the novel ''Skrivejomfruen'' based on the life of the 18th-century Danish author Charlotta Dorothea Biehl. It was the first of many widely read historical novels and detective stories. Mette Warburg (23 January, 1926 - 11 March, 2015) was a Danish eye specialist. Her specialist areas were pediatric ophthalmology and ophthalmic genetics. Biography Warburg was born in Copenhagen. Her father Erik was a notable cardiologist and her mother's name was Louise Valentiner. During World War II, the family remained in Copenhagen and Warburg joined the resistance movement at the age of 15. Her tasks were to code and decide telegrams from London about weapons and parachute drops. In 1944, she became a student at Ingrid Jespersens Gymnasieskole. She then studied medicine at the University of Copenhagen, graduating in 1952. Starting in 1961, she began to study a Danish family with a high number of cases of a hereditary degenerative disease, and eventually identified and described the disease. Mette Schjoldager (born 21 April 1977) is a Danish badminton player from Viby, Roskilde Municipality, on the island of Zealand. Career Schjoldager made her debut at the Olympic Games in 2000 Sydney.
