Metrorrey Line 5
Metrorrey Line 5 is one of the three Metrorrey lines currently under construction of that will connect the south of Monterrey with the center of Monterrey. The system shall be an Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit (ART) line, that is that it will use electric transport vehicle without rails or catenary and virtual semi-automatic guidance. Each vehicle will have a capacity of 300 passengers. It will have an extension of approximately 10.6 kilometers. It will connect with Metrorrey Line 4, lines 4 and Metrorrey Line 6, 6 at the ''Hospital de Ginecología'' station, connected to Metrorrey Line 3, line 3 at the (in front of the High Specialty Medical Unit No. 23 of the Mexican Social Security Institute). Tren Maya
Tren Maya (Yucatec Maya: , sometimes also Mayan Train or Maya Train) is a inter-city railway in Mexico that traverses the Yucatán Peninsula. Construction began in June 2020 and the Campeche–Cancún section began operation on December 15, 2023, with the rest of the railway opening in subsequent stages, with the final segment from Escárcega to Chetumal beginning operation on December 15, 2024. The railway begins in Cancún International Airport and travels southwest towards Palenque, Chiapas, via two routes that encircle the peninsula. Goals The project aims to connect tourist destinations in the Caribbean with lesser-known sites inland, including historic Maya civilization, Mayan sites from which it derives its name. Ecovía
Ecovía is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon that began operations in January 2014. Overview As of 2014 Ecovía consists of a single route that runs 30 kilometers serving three different municipalities of the Monterrey Metropolitan area: Monterrey, San Nicolás de los Garza, San Nicolas and Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Guadalupe. Ecovía buses operate within a fully dedicated right of way (busway). Buses offer free Wi-Fi, wifi access. Ecovía stations include off-board fare collection and platform level with the bus floor. Metrorrey Line 2
Line 2 is a line on the Metrorrey system. It has 13 stations and it runs from Sendero to Zaragoza. The line opened on 30 November 1994. History Construction for Line 2 started in February 1993 and was inaugurated on November 30, 1994, in the stretch from General Anaya to Zaragoza. After 14 years, the second stage of the line, from Regina to Universidad, was inaugurated on October 31, 2007, by José Natividad González Parás, Governor of Nuevo León from 2003 to 2009. Line 1 is a line on the Metrorrey system. It has 19 stations and it runs from Talleres to Exposición. The line opened on April 25, 1991. Apodaca
Apodaca () is a city and its surrounding municipality that is part of Monterrey Metropolitan area. It lies in the northeastern part of the Monterrey Metropolitan Area. It is known for becoming recently a heavy industrialized city. As of 2019, the city houses 70% of the industrial plants of the state of Nuevo León. Apodaca is as well the fourth most exporting city in México. The municipality has an area of 224.7 km2. The population has recently increased from around 115,000 people in 1990 to almost 600,000 in 2015. Automatic Train Control
Automatic train control (ATC) is a general class of train protection systems for railways that involves a speed control mechanism in response to external inputs. For example, a system could effect an emergency brake application if the driver does not react to a signal at danger. ATC systems tend to integrate various cab signalling technologies and they use more granular deceleration patterns in lieu of the rigid stops encountered with the older automatic train stop (ATS) technology. A monorail is a Rail transport, railway in which the track consists of a single rail or beam. Colloquially, the term "monorail" is often used to describe any form of elevated rail or people mover.
