Metro FM (Turkey)
Metro FM is a nationwide FM radio network broadcasting from Istanbul. It is one of the first privately founded radio stations in Turkey and the first foreign music station. Broadcasting Pop Music in languages other than Turkish, Metro FM can be listened to via terrestrial broadcast, Turksat 2A Satellite, BlackBerry and iPhone applications. Founded by the private Uzan Group, Metro FM remained one of the media branches of the holding for over ten years. The station briefly stayed under government entity after the takeover of the Uzan Holding companies by government banking regulation agency TMSF. With the auction held in September 2005, Metro FM has been sold to the Canadian communication group Canwest for a sum of US$22,850,000. Gaziantep
Gaziantep, historically Aintab and still informally called Antep, is a major city in south-central Turkey. It is the capital of the Gaziantep Province, in the westernmost part of Turkey's Southeastern Anatolia Region and partially in the Mediterranean Region. It is located approximately east of Adana and north of Aleppo, Syria and situated on the Sajur River. Trabzon
Trabzon, historically known as Trebizond, is a city on the Black Sea coast of northeastern Turkey and the capital of Trabzon Province. The city was founded in 756 BC as "Trapezous" by colonists from Miletus. It was added into the Achaemenid Empire by Cyrus the Great and was later part of the independent Kingdom of Pontus that challenged Rome until 68 BC. Thenceforth part of the Roman and later Byzantine Empire, the city was the capital of the Empire of Trebizond, one of the successor states of the Byzantine Empire after the Fourth Crusade in 1204. Tekirdağ
Tekirdağ () is a city in northwestern Turkey. It is located on the north coast of the Sea of Marmara, in the region of East Thrace. The city forms the urban part of the Süleymanpaşa district, with a population of 186,421 in 2022. Tekirdağ is a commercial centre with a harbour for agricultural products (the harbour is being expanded to accommodate a new rail link to the main freight line through Thrace). It is also home to Martas and the BOTAŞ Terminal, both of them important for trade activities in the Marmara Region. Köyceğiz
Köyceğiz is a municipality and district of Muğla Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,329 km2, and its population is 39,242 (2022). The town of Köyceğiz lies at the northern end of a lake of the same name ( Lake Köyceğiz) which is joined to the Mediterranean Sea by a natural channel called Dalyan Delta. Its unique environment is being preserved as a nature and wildlife sanctuary, the Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area.
