Metalex
MTX (short for ''Metalex'') is an automobile company in the Czech Republic, that has been previously in Czechoslovakia engaged in the manufacture of racing and formula cars since 1969. Originally, it was a repair shop for Škoda racers. Currently, MTX is engaged in the development of special vehicle modifications, service activities and veteran renovations. The company now has branches in Prague (headquarters), Plzeň (manufacture) and Mělník (autoservis). The first single-seater formula car ""MTX 1-01" appeared in 1970. During the 1970s and 1980s, Formula Easter cars, autocross buggies and rally cars (based on Škoda and Lada) were produced. In 1989 - 1990 Škoda Rapid convertible was made in a few copies in cooperation with the German Heinzinger firm. MTX Tatra V8
The Metalex MTX Tatra V8 also known as the Metalex MTX V8 GT 3900 in Western Europe was a Supercar, super-sports car produced by MTX (automobile), MTX in cooperation with Tatra (company), Tatra in 1991. It was designed by Czech automobile designer Václav Král and was the fastest Czech Republic, Czech car of that time. It has a Tatra 3.9 litre V8 with a rated power of at 6500 rpm, it has scissor doors opening vertically and Hidden headlamps, pop-up headlamps. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) is given as 5.6 seconds and the maximum speed is 265 km/h (165 mph). After it passed driving tests at the Tatra polygon races at Kopřivnice, at the airport in Mošnov and at the autodrom in Most (Most District), Most, it was finally introduced to the public in October 1991 at the auto show in Prague. Formula Easter
Formula Easter (or Forma Easter) was a single-seater, open wheel, open cockpit circuit car racing series during the 1970–1980s, specifically created for drivers from the communist bloc, driving cars created solely from parts manufactured by the COMECON industry or created from scratch as a citizens' initiative by Eastern Bloc residents. Nominally, the series belonged to FIA Formula Category 9 and Technical Group 8, although the FIA only acknowledged but did not officially sanction its existence. Technical specifics Engine displacement was maximized at 1300 cubic centimeters, which restriction lead to widespread adoption of the Lada ( Zhiguli) 21011 car's engine bloc. These Soviet made inline-4 powerplants produced 70-75 hp off the assembly line, but could be tuned up to 90-110 hp with moderate effort. Škoda Favorit
Škoda Favorit is a model name that the Czechoslovak (and now Czech) car maker Škoda Auto has used for two series of car models. The first series was the Type 904 which was a 1.8 litre car built from 1936 to 1939, and its successor the Type 923 which was a 2.1 litre car built from 1938 to 1941. These two models had little commercial success and were discontinued after only 223 examples had been built. After their commercial failure, Škoda did not use the Favorit model name again for 46 years. The second series is the Type 781 range of supermini cars that was made from 1987 to 1995. It was Škoda's first car to follow the European trend of locating the engine at the front, mounted transversely, and was also their first car to use front-wheel drive.
