Gaspare Messina
Gaspare Messina (; August 7, 1879 – June 15, 1957) founded the New England Mafia that would later be known as the Patriarca crime family. He immigrated to Brooklyn from Sicily with his wife in 1905. Messina and his family arrived in Boston by 1915 and retired as head of the Boston Mafia in 1932. He was succeeded by Phil Buccola. Messina died on June 15, 1957, in Somerville, Massachusetts. James Messina (born December 5, 1947) is an American musician, songwriter, singer, guitarist, recording engineer and record producer. He was a member of the folk rock group Buffalo Springfield, a founding member of the pioneering country rock band Poco, and half of the soft rock duo Loggins and Messina with Kenny Loggins. Early life James Messina was born in Maywood, California, in 1947, and raised in Harlingen, Texas, until he was eight. He spent much of his childhood split between his father's home in California and his mother's home in Texas. His father was a guitarist and greatly influenced his son's musical career. Ignazio Messina (born 24 July 1964) is an Italian lawyer and politician. He is the current leader of Italy of Values. Biography Ignazio Messina was born in Palermo on 24 July 1964, from a family of magistrates and University professors. Guido Messina (4 January 1931 – 10 January 2020) was an Italian road and track cyclist. He was born in Monreale, Italy, on 4 January 1931. On track he won five world titles in the individual 4000 m pursuit between 1948 and 1956, and a gold medal with the Italian team at the 1952 Olympics (individual pursuit became an Olympic event only in 1964, when Messina retired from cycling).
