Mersin MSK
Mersin MSK is a Turkish professional basketball club based in Mersin. Founded in 2019, the club currently competes in the Basketbol Süper Ligi, the top-tier basketball league in Turkey. History After the dissolution of Mersin BB in 2018, Mersin MSK was founded in 2019 as a successor to this club. They spent two successful seasons in Turkish Men's Regional Basketball League (EBBL) and Turkish Basketball Second League (TB2L) and they managed to be promoted to Türkiye Basketbol Ligi (TBL) before 2021–22 season. For the first season in second tier, they finished the league at 14th place, just above the relegation line. In 2022–23 season they finished the league in 3rd place but eliminated in the playoff semifinals against Semt77 Yalovaspor. They started the 2023–24 season with important signings and finished the season again in 3rd place after the normal season. Basketbol Süper Ligi
The Basketball Super League (; TBSL), also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1967) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the Turkish Basketball First League, second-tier and Turkish Basketball Second League, third-tier divisions. The BSL is administered by the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) and is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams promotion and relegation, relegated to the second-tier TBL and replaced by the top two teams of that division. Servet Tazegül Arena
The Servet Tazegül Arena () is a multi-purpose indoor arena located at Yenişehir district of Mersin, Turkey, named in honor of the Olympic, world and European champion taekwondo practitioner Servet Tazegül (born 1988). The construction of the building began on 20 January 2012 with the laying of foundation stone. The arena is one of the eleven new-built sports venues in Mersin to host the 2013 Mediterranean Games. With its seating capacity of 7,500, it is one of the biggest indoor arenas in Turkey. Francisco "Pako" Javier Cruz Saldívar (born October 3, 1989) is a Mexican professional basketball player for Mersin MSK of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He also represents the senior Mexico national basketball team. He played NCAA Division I college basketball at Wyoming. He is a tall shooting guard, that can also play as a small forward. The Turkish Basketball Second League, also called TB2L, is Turkish basketball league system, the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously called the Turkish Basketball Third League (TB3L).
