Merry Little Batman
''Merry Little Batman'' is a 2023 animated superhero film directed by Mike Roth, and written by Morgan Evans and Jase Ricci, from a story by Evans and Roth, based on DC Comics featuring the characters Batman and his son Damian Wayne. It is the first Amazon MGM Studios animated production that was not produced, distributed through, or owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The film stars the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Luke Wilson, James Cromwell, and David Hornsby. In the film, Damian must foil the Joker's plot to ruin Christmas in Gotham City while his father is away on a mission. The film was released on December 8, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video, receiving positive reviews, with praise for the animation, plot-line, and voice performances (including for Kibreab as Damian). A television series based on the film, titled ''Bat-Fam'', will premiere in 2025. Mike Roth (animator)
Mike Roth (born, May 6, 1975) is an animation writer, director, producer, and storyboard artist. Early life Mike was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he attended Allentown School District public schools. He graduated from School of the Visual Arts in 1999 with a BFA. Career Most recently, Mike developed and directed the animated streaming feature ''Merry Little Batman'', starring the iconic caped crusader, for Amazon. Prior to this role, Roth developed and supervised the development of several projects with Disney Television Animation. Roth was also the Co-Executive Producer of Cartoon Network's Emmy winning Artists Program where he was responsible for the development and production pipeline of their shorts. Natalie Palamides (born January 6, 1990) is an American actress, comedian and television writer. Career Aspiring to work at ''Saturday Night Live'', Palamides moved to Los Angeles and joined the Upright Citizens Brigade after college. She began voice-over and commercial work. Michael Fielding (born 23 January 1982) is a British comedian and actor, known for his role as Naboo in the British surreal comedy ''The Mighty Boosh''.
