Merethe Trøan
Merethe Trøan (born 19 May 1970) is a Norwegian singer, best known for her participation in the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest. In her teens, Trøan and her sister were members of vocal group Pastel together with two brothers (not related to the Trøans). In 1985, Pastel took part in the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest selection, Melodi Grand Prix, with the song "Ring Ring Ring" finishing third. Pastel released one self-titled LP before disbanding. In 1992, Trøan returned to MGP as a solo artist, and this time was successful with the song " Visjoner" being chosen as the Norwegian entry for the 37th Eurovision Song Contest, held in Malmö, Sweden on 9 May. "Visjoner" did not prove very successful, managing only 18th place of 23 entries, although Trøan's performance is remembered for a spontaneous giggle midway through the song. Eva Gladys del Pilar Werner (born 11 October 1967) is an Ecuadorian-born Swedish singer and dancer. She is best known for being a member of the pop group Afro-dite, with which she represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002. Career Gladys mother noticed Gladys had an interest in music and made sure she attended a local music school. She was asked to provide back-up vocals for Big Deal, a popular local rock band. Gladys and the sound engineer at ''Big Deal's'' recording studio formed the house music group ''Real Power''. They soon became associated with the Nordik beat scene and signed to SweMix Records. ‘'Real Power'’ released the single "Trust" which received plenty of radio play. She provided back-up vocals for many Nordik beat/SweMix acts such as Kayo and DJ's. OGAE Second Chance Contest 1993
The (; ), shortened to OGAE, is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and worldwide. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen. Four non-profit competitions are organised by the OGAE every year to promote national popular music to Eurovision fans around the world. The organisation also works frequently in co-operation with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and national broadcasters from the participating countries in order to help promote the Eurovision Song Contest. Wenche Synnøve Myhre (born 15 February 1947), known in German as Wencke Myhre, is a Norwegian singer who has had a great number of hit songs since the 1960s in the Norwegian, Danish, German and Swedish markets and languages.
