Mercy Yvonne Debrah-Karikari
Mercy Yvonne Debrah-Karikari is a Ghanaian diplomat and the first female to be secretary to the cabinet of the government of Ghana. She was appointed to occupy this position by the current president Nana Akufo-Addo. Her appointment took effect on 14 February 2017. Education Mercy attended Wesley Girls Senior High School in Cape Coast from 1971 to 1976, and later continued at the Tema Secondary School in Tema from 1976 to 1978. She obtained a degree in arts and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast from 1979 to 1986. She then went ahead to earn a master's degree in International Affairs from the University of Ghana from 1988 to 1989. Career Mrs Debrah-Karikari served as the Head of Chancery at the Ghana Embassy in Luanda, Angola from 1994 to 1995. John Dramani Mahama
John Dramani Mahama (; born 29 November 1958) is a Ghanaian politician who served as President of Ghana from 24 July 2012 to 7 January 2017. He previously served as Vice President of Ghana from January 2009 to July 2012, and took office as president on 24 July 2012 following the death of his predecessor John Evans Fiifi Attah Mills. Mahama is a communication expert, historian, and writer. A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he was Member of Parliament for Bole Bamboi from 1997 to 2009 and served as Deputy Minister for Communication between 1997 and 1998 before becoming the substantive Minister for Communications from 1998 to 2001.
