Mercury (Cessily Kincaid) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character has appeared in the ''X-Men'' series. She is a teenage member of the student body at the Xavier Institute and a recurring member of the X-Men. Publication history Mercury first appeared in ''New Mutants'', vol. 2 #2 in Aug. 2003. Fictional character biography Introduction Cessily Kincaid, an Irish American, was raised in Portland, Oregon by her parents Mark and Jill, who, according to DeFilippis, used to dote over her. When Cessily's powers manifested, her parents were disgusted and made her stay indoors so as to hide her mutation. In response, she was sent to the Xavier Institute where she befriended Julian Keller and was placed as Laurie Collins' roommate for a while. Clayton Henry
Clayton Henry is a comic book artist, known mostly for his work for Marvel Comics. His first known works were providing the art on ''Nine Rings Of Wu-Tang'' and ''Area 52'', and has since worked on such series as ''Exiles'', '' Alpha Flight'', '' New X-Men: Hellions'', '' X-Men: Apocalypse vs. Dracula'', and currently '' Uncanny X-Men''. Early life Born in Mandeville, Jamaica, Henry moved to the U.S. when he was three. His father, an artist himself amazed Clayton with a picture of a car he saw him draw. Laura Kinney (born X-23; codename Wolverine) is a fictional superhero appearing in media published by Marvel Entertainment, most commonly in association with the X-Men. The character was created by writer Craig Kyle for the '' X-Men: Evolution'' television series in 2003, before debuting in the ''NYX'' comic series in 2004. Since then she has headlined two six-issue miniseries written by Kyle and Christopher Yost, a one-shot and self-titled series written by Marjorie Liu, and '' All-New Wolverine'' by Tom Taylor. Laura was apparently the clone and later adoptive daughter of Wolverine, created to be the perfect killing machine.
