Laredo College (LC) is a public community college in Laredo, Texas. Founded as Laredo Junior College in 1947, it is part of the Laredo Independent School District. As defined by the Texas Legislature, the official service area of LC includes the municipality of Laredo and all of Webb, Jim Hogg and Zapata counties. Angelo Mercurio
Angelo "Sonny" Mercurio (1936 – December 11, 2006) was an Italian-American mobster and a member of the Patriarca crime family who became an FBI informant that recorded for the first time a mafia induction ceremony. This recording led to the incarceration of family boss Raymond Patriarca Jr. and several other high ranking mafioso. It also became a source of embarrassment for the organization. Augustino Eugenio “Gus” Mercurio (10 August 19287 December 2010) was an American-Australian chiropractor, actor, boxing referee, boxing judge, and sports commentator. Steven Mercurio (born 1956, Bardonia, New York) is an American conductor and composer. Early life and education Mercurio was raised in New York and is of Italian descent. For most of his adolescence, he gravitated towards rock and jazz music and played guitar in various rock bands with his friends during his high school years. He studied composition and graduated from Boston University where his professors included David Del Tredici. He earned his master's degree at Juilliard School.
