Meowth
Meowth ( or , known as in the original Japanese version) is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's ''Pokémon'' franchise. Created by Ken Sugimori, Meowth first appeared in the video games ''Pokémon Red'' and ''Blue'' and subsequent entries in the franchise. In addition, it was one of the Pokémon to get an Alolan Form variant of the Dark type. It now also has a Galarian Form, which is a Steel type, and is the only Pokémon to have both an Alolan form and a Galarian form. It later appeared in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. A male Meowth capable of human speech is considered by many fans as Team Rocket's mascot because he is a member of the Team Rocket Trio, a group of antagonists in the anime comprising himself and two Team Rocket grunts called Jessie and James. Maddie Blaustein
Madeleine Joan Blaustein (born Adam Blaustein, October 9, 1960 – December 11, 2008), also known as Kendra Bancroft, was an American voice actress and comic writer who was known for her voice acting work for 4Kids Entertainment, DuArt Film and Video and NYAV Post, for her reprising role as the character Meowth from the ''Pokémon'' anime series and for comics written for Milestone Comics, in which she introduced one of superhero comics' first transgender female characters. She was the first intersex and transgender voice artist for many of her respective agencies. Career In the late 1980s, Blaustein worked for Marvel Comics, as an editor (several issues each of ''Web of Spider-Man'', ''Marvel Tales'', and '' Marvel Saga'') as a writer (several issues of ''Conan the King''), and penciling a one-shot of ''Power Pachyderms.'' James Carter Cathcart
James Carter Cathcart (born March 8, 1954) is an American voice actor, script adaptor, voice director, pianist and vocalist known for providing the English voice for James, Meowth and Professor Oak in the ''Pokémon'' franchise since 2005. Career Cathcart has been playing with bands since high school, including The Laughing Dogs who released two albums on Columbia in 1979-80 and has been the vocalist of the Carter Cathcart Band since 1981. Cathcart also co-wrote the song "Remember Me" with Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley that ended up on Frehley's 1989 solo album Trouble Walkin'. Cathcart's first voiceover part was O.G. Readmore on the ABC Weekend Special. After that, he recorded voice overs for Kit Kat candy bars, Good Humor, Coors Light, and others. Maneki Neko
The ''maneki-neko'' (招き猫, ) is a common Japanese figurine which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner. In modern times, they are usually made of ceramic or plastic. The figurine depicts a cat, traditionally a calico Japanese Bobtail, with a paw raised in a Japanese beckoning gesture. The figurines are often displayed in shops, restaurants, pachinko parlors, dry cleaners, laundromats, bars, casinos, hotels, nightclubs, and other businesses, generally near the entrance. Pokémon (video Game Series)

The was a Japanese oval gold coin in Edo period feudal Japan, equal to one ''ryō'', another early Japanese monetary unit. It was a central part of Tokugawa coinage. The ''Keichō'' era ''koban'', a gold piece, contained about one ryō of gold, so that koban carried a face value of one ryō.
