Menudo (group)
Menudo is a Puerto Rican boy band formed by producer Edgardo Díaz. Referred to as the "most iconic Latino pop music band", they have been ranked as one of the biggest boy bands of all time by several publications, including ''Billboard'', ''Us Weekly'', '' Seventeen'', and ''Teen Vogue'', being the only Latin band on their lists. The band had several radio hits during its career. The tracklist includes seven original songs, along with three tracks from the album ''Evolución'' translated into English. Menudo, also known as Mondongo, pancita ('' ittlegut'' or '' ittlestomach'') or mole de panza ("stomach sauce"), is a traditional Mexican soup, made with cow's stomach (tripe) in broth with a red chili pepper base. It is the Mexican variation of the Spanish callos or ''menudo''. Similar dishes exist throughout Latin America and Europe including mondongo, guatitas, dobrada; trippa alla romana in Italy, or patsas - πατσάς in Greece. Hominy (in Northern Mexico), lime, onions, and oregano are used to season the broth. It differs from the Filipino dish of the same name, in that the latter does not use tripe, hominy, or a chili sauce.
