The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is the largest senior community Australian rules football competition in Victoria, Australia, Victoria. Founded in 1892, it consists of six senior divisions, ranging from Premier to Division 3 in the men's competition and Premier to Division 4 in the women's competition. In addition, the VAFA has under-19s and Thirds sections, primarily made up of either clubs only able to field one team, or clubs from higher sections that can field a third team after their seniors and reserves. The league operates a double promotion and relegation system between sections, with various rules dictating which section clubs can play in. Old Scotch Football Club
The Old Scotch Football Club, nicknamed the Cardinals, is an Australian rules football club based in the Melbourne suburb of Camberwell, Victoria, Camberwell. It affiliated with the List of Old Scotch Collegians, Old Scotch Collegians Association and maintains a close relationship with Scotch College, Melbourne, Scotch College. Old Scotch has competed in the top division of the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) for 72 out of a possible 88 years, the most of any club. The club has never competed lower than the Premier B division, and also held a 35-year continuous playing record in A Section/Premier Division until 2015. As of 2025, the club's men's and women's teams both compete in the Premier Division of the VAFA and the VAFA Women's (VAFAW) respectively.
