Alyssa Mendonsa (born ) is an Indian playback singer who made her debut in the film ''Karthik Calling Karthik'' with the song "Uff Teri Adaa". Early life Alyssa Mendonsa is the daughter of composer Loy Mendonsa of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio who compose music for Bollywood films. She also sang "Oh Girl" and "Papa Jag Jayega" along with Neeraj Shridhar and Ritu Pathak for the Sajid Khan movie '' Housefull''. Her vocal for the song "Adhoore" of ''Break Ke Baad'' was well received by the audiences. She also sang "Baby When You Talk To Me" for the film '' Patiala House''. Loy Mendonsa
Loy Mendonsa is an Indian music director and part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio which consists of himself, Shankar Mahadevan and Ehsaan Noorani. Before becoming a music composer, he played piano and keyboards for famous Indian music composers such as A. R. Rahman and Nadeem-Shravan. His daughter, Alyssa Mendonsa, made her singing debut with the song ''Uff Teri Adaa'' from the movie Karthik Calling Karthik. Loy Mendonsa started his career by composing the signature tune for 'The World This Week' show on Doordarshan. Blackstratblues is a musical project of Warren Mendonsa, an Indian guitarist and composer based out of Auckland, New Zealand. Earlier Blackstratblues albums were solo efforts, and more recent releases have been group collaborations—all self-released by Mendonsa. The project has published six studio albums and two live albums as of . Mendonsa previously played lead guitar in the Indian rock band Zero (Indian band), Zero. He is the nephew of Bollywood composer Loy Mendonsa of Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy fame. Career In 1998, Mendonsa formed the rock band Zero (Indian band), Zero, together with Rajeev Talwar, Sidd Coutto, and Girish Talwar, releasing three studio albums between 2000 and 2005. In late 2004, Mendonsa moved to Auckland, New Zealand, thereby quitting Zero. He began releasing songs online as a solo artist, and in April 2007, he issued his debut album, ''Nights in Shining Karma'', under the moniker Blackstratblues.
