Memories Do Not Open Tour
The Memories Do Not Open Tour was a concert tour by The Chainsmokers, in support of the duo's debut studio album, '' Memories...Do Not Open'' (2017). The tour began in Miami on April 13, 2017, and ended on October 24, 2017, in Auckland. Background and development On January 30, 2017, the duo announced they will be releasing their debut album, accompanied by an arena tour. Kiiara was announced as the opening act, with Emily Warren as a special guest during the Chainsmokers' set. They announced on Instagram that they would be taking a fan, Tony Ann, (a Berklee College of Music student) with them on the tour because they were impressed with his piano cover of their song "Paris". Critical reception The tour received mixed reviews. One negative review from Miami, Zach Schlein simply said he was "not a fan". The Chainsmokers are an American electronic DJ and production duo consisting of Alexander "Alex" Pall and Andrew "Drew" Taggart. They started out by releasing remixes of songs by indie artists. Joe Louis Arena was an arena in Downtown Detroit. Completed in 1979 at a cost of US$57 million as a replacement for Olympia Stadium, it sat adjacent to Cobo Center on the bank of the Detroit River and was accessible by the Joe Louis Arena station on the Detroit People Mover. The venue was named after former heavyweight champion boxer Joe Louis, who grew up in Detroit. Shaun Charles Frank (born June 7, 1982) is a Canadian DJ, singer-songwriter and record producer. He was a part of the band Crowned King and later left that to join Envy. He ventured on his own after Envy broke up and has collaborated with EDM artists around the world. He has many charting singles and remixes credited to his name.
