Melvin Ejim
Melvin Obinna Ejim (born March 4, 1991) is a Nigerian-Canadian professional basketball player for Unicaja of the Liga ACB. He played college basketball for Iowa State University before playing professionally in Italy, Russia and Spain, as well as the NBA G League. Early life Ejim was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Nigerian parents. He started playing basketball in grade 7. Playing for a team in the Amateur Athletic Union after his first year of high school in Canada, Ejim began garnering interest from high school coaches at boarding schools in the United States. High school career Ejim attended St. Mary's Ryken High School in Leonardtown, Maryland, where he made the 2007 Provincial team before transferring to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. Canada Men's National Basketball Team
The Canada men's national basketball team () represents Canada in international basketball competitions since 1923. They are overseen by Canada Basketball, the governing body for basketball in Canada. In 10 Olympic appearances, Canada has won one medal in basketball – a silver at the 1936 Games in Berlin. 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup
The 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup was the 34th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament was hosted at the Singapore Indoor Stadium for a second consecutive year under a three-year agreement with the Singaporean government. It was the second time the tournament was hosted in Asia. For the first time in competition history, a team from Oceania is included and five continents represented. Franca were the defending champions but will not be able to defend their title as they were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 2023–24 BCL Americas season. During the tournament, the FIBA Hall of Fame held its induction ceremony. In the final, Unicaja defeated NBA G League United by a score of 75–60, to win their first championship. 2016–17 Basketball Champions League
The 2016–17 Basketball Champions League was the inaugural season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), a European professional sports, professional basketball competition for sports club, clubs that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 27 September 2016, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded on 30 April 2017, at the 2017 Basketball Champions League Final Four, Final Four. Basketball Champions League Star Lineup
The Basketball Champions League Star Lineup, or FIBA Champions League Star Lineup, is an annual award for the Basketball Champions League (BCL)'s top ten basketball players for each season. The Basketball Champions League is, along with the EuroCup, one of the two secondary level European-wide professional club basketball leagues in Europe. The award is given by FIBA. The 2016–17 LBA season, was the 95th season of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), known for sponsorship reasons as the Serie A PosteMobile, the highest-tier level professional basketball league in Italy. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club (sport), club basketball list of basketball leagues, league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. The Montenegrin Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition for Montenegrin basketball teams held since 2007. History Montenegrin clubs in Yugoslav Cup Before the Montenegrin independence in 2006, clubs from Montenegro played in national Cup of Yugoslavia. The 2020–21 Prva A Liga is the 15th season of the Montenegrin Basketball League, the top tier basketball league on Montenegro. No team from the last season was relegated, while KK Podgorica and KK Pljevlja were promoted. In this season, 8 teams from Montenegro will participate in basketball international competitions which have been the most ever. The Prva A liga, for sponsorships reasons named the Erste Liga, is the top-tier professional basketball league in Montenegro. It is the highest basketball division organized by the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG).
