Melissa Potter
Melissa Potter is an American interdisciplinary artist who works in handmade paper, printmaking, traditional crafts, writing, and video. She is a three-time Fulbright award recipient (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and was Director of the MFA in Book & Paper at Columbia College Chicago from 2014 – 2017. She holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and a MFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Career Potter's work revolves around ideas of gender, identity, and feminism. Her interests in socially activist art and the democratic potential of print media has resulted in a longstanding engagement with art from Eastern Europe, specifically Russia, the Republic of Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. Miriam Schaer (born 1956) is an American artist who creates artists' books, and installations, prints, collage, photography, and video in relation to artists' books. She also is a teacher of the subject. Career Miriam Schaer was born in Buffalo, New York. Mat Rappaport (born 1971) is an internationally exhibited new media and installation artist, curator, and educator. He is currently an associate professor at Columbia College Chicago, a board member of the New Media Caucus, and a founding member of v1b3 (Video in the Built Environment). Albright College is a private liberal arts college in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1856. History Albright College traces its founding to 1856 when Union Seminary opened. The International Queer Film Festival Merlinka or Merlinka Festival is an annual LGBT-themed film festival which is annually organized in Belgrade (since 2009), Sarajevo (since 2013) and Podgorica (since 2014).
