Melissa Goad (born July 10, 1982) is an actress and model, mostly known for independent dramas and horror movies. Early life Melissa-Rae Annette Goad was born July 10, 1982, in Seattle, Washington and grew up in nearby Kent. She was entered in a beauty pageant by her mother at the age of 5, which inspired her to become an actor. She participated in her school's drama programs as she grew up. She continued her studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood and graduated in 2005. Career Goad was on the reality show, ''Live Like a Star'' on Fox. She also had a starring role in the movie ''Real Witches: An Intimate Portrait'' on Lifetime. When Goad auditioned for the lead for the internet series, ''The Bicyclist'', the creator wrote a part specifically for Goad to be on the series. Seattle True Independent Film Festival (STIFF) was started in 2005 by a group of filmmakers whose feature film Swamper was rejected by the Seattle International Film Festival. STIFF was modeled after the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City UT as a way to champion local and true independent films that they felt were being left out of the local film program. '' The Stranger'' film critic, Andrew Wright described it as “like a belch in church (in the best possible way)” All films that screen at STIFF receive a one-of a kind award called a “STIFFY”. ''Eyes in the Dark'' is a 2010 American horror film written and directed by Bjorn Anderson. It is filmed in the " found footage" style. Plot The movie follows seven college students as they take a weekend trip to a lodge in the Cascade Mountains. As they film themselves for their video blog, they record some strange occurrences. The students and the lodge's caretaker come across a mysterious cave with unusual markings. They soon become hunted by an unknown creature with glowing red eyes.
