Mehboob Kotwal
Mehboob (credited as Mehboob Kotwal or simply Mehboob; born 1961) is an Indian film lyricist. He was born and brought up in Mumbai city of Maharashtra, where he also received his primary education, first in English and later in Urdu. Career In 1986, Mehboob met music composer Ismail Darbar who played violin in film orchestras those days. It was Darbar who taught him the difference between poetry and film lyrics. Darbar introduced Mehboob to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and he began his songwriting career with Varma's 1992 film Drohi whose music was composed by R.D. Burman. He then worked with A.R. Rahman on Varma's Rangeela. Rahman liked his work and introduced him to Mani Ratnam and Mehboob penned the lyrics for the Hindi (dubbed) version of Bombay. Mehboob went on to work with A.R. Rahman on films such as Thakshak, Doli Saja Ke Rakhna and Dubbed version of Dil Hi Dil Mein. He has also written lyrics for A.R. Rahman's non-film album Maa Tujhe Salaam as well as Mani Ratnam' ...

Bandra ( æːɳɖɾa is a coastal suburb located in Mumbai, the largest city of the Konkan division in Maharashtra, India. The area is located to the immediate north of the River Mithi, which separates Bandra from the Mumbai City district. It is the third-largest commercial hub in Maharashtra, after the Mumbai City and Pune, primarily aided by the Bandra Kurla Complex. ''Humsafar'' () is the second album sung by KK released on 22 January 2008. The music was composed by KK himself and lyrics were by Mehboob in Hindi, and KK in English. Overview Humsafar, came eight years after the release of KK's super-hit debut album ''Pal''. It belongs to the pop-rock genre and has a total of 10 songs. Humsafar has two additional songs — "Din Ho Ya Raat" and "Mehki Hawa"—from ''Pal'', KK's earlier album. The album has a fun-filled romantic number—"Aasman Ke", featuring the singer and a south Indian model, Suhasi Goradia Dhami, in the video. "Humsafar", the title track, an interplay of English and Hindi lyrics, is about one's conscience and how it is a constant companion in the journey of life.
