Megatrend University
Megatrend University () is a private university located in New Belgrade, the city of Belgrade, Serbia. It was founded in 1989 as the Megatrend Business School, which later became Megatrend University. In 2015, the Council of Megatrend University changed the name of the institution to University John Naisbitt. The name was changed back to Megatrend University in 2017. As of 2022–23 school year, Megatrend has a total of 396 enrolled students. The university has a negative reputation in Serbia for a series of controversies, including claims that it is a diploma mill, that it falsely advertised an international university network that does not exist, that its list of lecturers is false, and that it exaggerates its enrollment and other statistics. Bačka Topola ( sr-Cyrl, Бачка Топола, ; , ) is a town and municipality located in the North Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. The municipality is composed of 23 local communities and, according to the 2022 census, has population of 26,228 while the town itself has 11,930 inhabitants. Four official languages are used in the municipality: Serbian, Hungarian, Rusyn, and Slovak. Name The name of the town is derived from the Serbian word ''topola'' (топола) ("poplar" in English). Irena Vujović (; born 3 April 1983) is a Serbian politician who served as the minister of environmental protection from 2020 to 2025. A member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), she previously served as president of the Savski Venac Municipality from 2016 to 2020. Early life and education She was born in 1983 in Belgrade. Zoran Đorđević ( sr-cyr, Зоран Ђорђевић, born 11 February 1970) is a Serbian politician. Nebojša Stefanović ( sr-Cyrl, Небојша Стефановић, ; born 20 November 1976) is a Serbian politician who served as deputy prime minister of Serbia from 2016 to 2022 and as minister of defence from 2020 to 2022. A member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), he previously served as president of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2012 to 2014 and as minister of internal affairs from 2014 to 2020.
