The ''Urusei Yatsura'' manga series features a large ensemble cast of characters created by Rumiko Takahashi. Megane Bridge
or Spectacles Bridge, over the :ja:中島川, Nakashima River (中島川) was built in Nagasaki in 1634 by the Chinese people, Chinese monk Mokusunyoujo who was in the second generation of Chinese monks living at Kōfuku-ji (Nagasaki), Kofukuji Temple. It is said to be the oldest stone arch bridge in Japan along with Edo's Nihonbashi bridge and Iwakuni's Kintai Bridge, Kintaikyou bridge and has been designated as an Important Cultural Properties of Japan, Important Cultural Property. Megane Bridge is also part of the first group of bridges built over Nakashima river. Megane Bridge is made of stone and is a double arch bridge. It received the nickname "Spectacles Bridge" because its two arches and their reflection in the water create the image of a pair of spectacles. Isahaya Park
Isahaya Park (also known as Azalea Park) is in Isahaya in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. It was built on the ruins of Isahaya castle (also known as Takashiro) during the Taishō period. The park is famous for its azalea blooms, and the "Azalea Festival" is held here, on and around April 10 every year. The park is also known for its "Spectacles Bridge" (see below) over the pond. The park is about 50 minutes by bus from Nagasaki, Nagasaki, Nagasaki city. Meganebashi Meganebashi or "Spectacles Bridge" (眼鏡橋) is a double arch stone bridge spanning a pond in the park. The bridge is twice the size of the famous "Megane Bridge, Spectacles Bridge" in Nagasaki city. The bridge was originally built over the Honmyo river in 1839. After the flood of 1957, it was relocated to the park. Every year on the anniversary of the flood, the city of Isahaya has a festival at the original location of the bridge. Leila Megàne (5 April 1891 – 2 January 1960) was a Welsh mezzo-soprano opera singer.Obituary The Times, Monday, 4 January 1960 Born Margaret Jones in Bethesda, Wales, she married T. Osborne Roberts (1879–1948), a composer. She spent a career touring numerous cities in Europe and once in New York. Career During her career the future Leila Megane would start music lessons from a young age and made first solo appearance at the age of 16, and then entered the Eisteddfod in Beaumaris, Anglesey and in 1910, she won first prize singing the Welsh song 'Gwraig y pysgotwr' (Eurgain), with Thomas Price (1857-1925), her future husband T. Osborne Roberts had been adjudicating the event. She also featured in the Eisteddfod in Colwyn Bay and came first in a field of 50 competitors.
