Megan Crowson
Megan Louise Crowson (born 13 June 1996) is field hockey player from England, who plays as a forward. Personal life Megan Crowson has a degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Exeter. Career Under–18 Crowson debuted for the England U–18 team in 2013 at the EuroHockey Youth Championship in Dublin. At the tournament she captained the side to a bronze medal, scoring four times during the tournament. In 2014, Crowson also represented the team in test matches against Belgium and Scotland. Under–21 Following a successful career with the national U–18 team, Megan Crowson progresses into the England U–21 side in 2015. She made four appearances that year, all against Germany U–21. 2016 was Crowson's busiest year with the U–21 team. She represented the team on three occasions; at a four nations tournament in Bad Kreuznach, an invitational tournament in Valencia and at the FIH Junior World Cup in Santiago. Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Hatfield is a town and civil parish in Hertfordshire, England, in the borough of Welwyn Hatfield. It had a population of 29,616 in 2001, and 39,201 at the 2011 Census. The England women's national field hockey team are the current Commonwealth Games champions having previously won silver 3 times. England have also won the 2006 Women's Field Hockey World Cup Qualifier and the 2002 Champions Challenge. History Marjorie Pollard played hockey nearly every year for England from 1921 to 1937. The team toured New Zealand in 1938 and the US in 1947. Notable players were Barbara and Bridget West, Hilda Light and Mary Russell Vick. The 2016 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup was the 8th edition of the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup. It was held from 24 November to 4 December 2016 in Santiago, Chile. Argentina won the tournament after defeating defending champions the Netherlands 4–2 in the final. This was the first time Argentina had won the Junior World Cup since the 1993 tournament in Terrassa, Spain. Australia won the third place match by defeating Spain 3–1 on a penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw. This was Australia's first Junior World Cup medal in 15 years.
