Mega Track
The Mega Track is a supercar manufactured by the French automobile manufacturer Aixam between 1992 and 2000. Only five or six examples were built during this time. Overview The concept of the Mega Track was conceived by Georges Blain, the boss of Aixam. At that time, the company specialized in cars that could be driven without a license (so-called light vehicles), but they wanted to diversify, and for this purpose founded the Mega brand, under which Blain wanted to build a super sports car. The project from which the Track emerged began in 1990. The Mega Track was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1992. Specifications The Mega Track was powered by a 6.0 liter M120 V12 petrol engine from the Mercedes-Benz S600, with an output of and of torque. Aixam-Mega () is a French automobile manufacturer based in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie. It was founded in 1983 to make microcars following the acquisition of Arola (microcar), Arola. On 11 April 2013, US based Polaris Industries announced that it had acquired Aixam-Mega from previous owners Ardian (company), Axa Private Equity. History The company can trace its history back to the establishment of Arola in 1975, which was acquired by Aixam in 1983 out of administration. In 1984 Aixam launched the new 325D, followed by the 400D in 1985. In 1992, they started making a range of standard sized cars under the Mega brand, but by 2002 this brand was just being applied to a diesel and electric vehicle, electric range of microvans and light utility vehicles. Audi Coupé
The Audi Coupé is a liftback coupé version of the Audi 80, first shown in 1980. The bodywork was shared with the Audi Quattro. The second generation Coupé arrived in late 1988 and was based on the B3 Audi 80, albeit with a different suspension. The Mercedes-Benz W140 is a series of flagship vehicles manufactured by Mercedes-Benz from 1991 to 1998 in sedan/saloon and coupe body styles and two wheelbase lengths (SE and SEL). The Mercedes-Benz M120 engine is a naturally aspirated high-performance automobile piston V12 engine family used in the 1990s and 2000s in Mercedes' flagship models. The engine was a response to BMW's M70 V12 engine, introduced in 1987. While the 5-litre BMW unit developed , Mercedes-Benz upped the ante considerably by creating a 6-litre, engine. The M120 family was built in Stuttgart, Germany. It has an aluminium engine block lined with silicon/aluminium. The aluminium DOHC cylinder heads are 4 valves per cylinder designs. It uses sequential fuel injection (SFI) and features forged steel connecting rods. The M120 was eventually replaced by the smaller (5.8 litres), lesser-powered, short-lived, SOHC, three valves per cylinder M137 V12 engine.
