Meerut Metro
The Meerut Metro ( hi, मेरठ मेट्रो) was a proposed rapid transit system in the city of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. The feasibility study of the project was completed by RITES in June 2015. Since government has merged the line 1 of meerut metro into RRTS, it is likely to be completed around 2025 (Phase 1) with Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System, RRTS project. This will save at least 6500 crore rupees. At the other side UPMRC has floated tenders for the detailed design of Meerut metro line 2. Cost Cost of construction is estimated at . NCRTC
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is a joint venture company of the Government of India and the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. The NCRTC is mandated with implementing the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project across the National Capital Region (India), National Capital Region (NCR), ensuring a balanced and sustainable urban development through better connectivity and access. The Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (Delhi–Meerut RRTS) is an long, semi-high speed rail corridor currently under construction which will connect Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.
