Meendum Kokila
''Meendum Kokila'' () is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by G. N. Rangarajan from a screenplay written by Ananthu and story by Haasan Brothers. The film stars Kamal Haasan and Sridevi. Deepa, M. Krishnamoorthy, Thengai Srinivasan and Omakuchi Narasimhan are featured in supporting roles. The narrative follows a young woman who fights to win back her husband after his infatuation with an actress. ''Meendum Kokila'' was released theatrically on 14 January 1981. Ananthu (screenwriter)
Ananthakrishnan, better known as Ananthu, was an Indian screenwriter working on Tamil language films, often collaborating with K. Balachander. He was the mentor of actor Kamal Haasan. Early life Ananthu was born as Ananthakrishnan at a village called Kandiramanickam near Karaikudi and Thirupathur. His father Thiruvengadam was working in South Indian Corporation. He studied B. S. C. chemistry. He worked as demonstrator at colleges and then later worked as clerk at A. G. S. Office where he met Balachander. He worked as dialogue writer for Balachander's plays while also participating in story discussions. Career Ananthu was a screenwriter and close associate of director K. Balachander. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Krishnamachari "Kris" Srikkanth (; ; born 21 December 1959), also known as Cheeka, is an Indian former cricketer and coach. He also serves as a cricket commentator. He was a hard-hitting opening batter and an occasional right arm offbreak bowler. He has served as a captain of the Indian cricket team and chairman of the men's selection committee later.
