Medium 21 were a rock band from Northampton, England. The group formed whilst studying at Northampton College in 1999. Band lineup The band lineup was: *Jon Clough (Vocals, Guitar) *Craig Brown (Guitar, Vocals, Keyboard) *Paul Thornton (Bass guitar) *Drew Kent (Drums) History Jon Clough, Drew Kent and Paul Thornton met whilst studying at Northampton College in 1999. The original three-piece were later joined by Craig Brown to add extra depth on guitars, keyboards and vocals. Medium 21 have released several one-off EPs. These have been on various labels including the independent Outafocus and Fierce Panda. It was Fierce Panda's sister label, Temptation records who signed the band after the success of ''Plans Are Not Enough'' EP. Northampton
Northampton () is a market town and civil parish in the East Midlands of England, on the River Nene, north-west of London and south-east of Birmingham. Northampton College
Northampton College is a further education college in Northampton, England, which opened in 1973, following building work which started in 1970. The college's main campus is at Booth Lane which provides almost all courses offered, and later expanded to include its Daventry campus after merging with Daventry Tertiary College in August 2004, and its Lower Mounts campus after its facility in the town centre was extended in 2010. The Booth Lane campus has just undergone a massive redevelopment, reopening for study in 2012. The college is one of the largest further education colleges in the South Midlands, with around 7,000 full-time and part-time students. Fierce Panda Records is a London-based independent record label, with its first release in February 1994. It also produced a small number of releases that year by now famous artists such as Ash, The Bluetones, Baby Bird and Supergrass. Fierce Panda is also credited with releases by Acres of Lions, Air Traffic, Art Brut, The Blackout, Boy Kill Boy, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Desperate Journalist, Embrace, Goldheart Assembly, Kenickie, Seafood, Keane, Placebo, The Polyphonic Spree and Shitdisco.
