''George Negus Tonight'' (formerly titled ''Dimensions'') was an Australian current affairs television series hosted by George Negus, which ran on ABC Television from 2001 to 2004. ''Dimensions'' The program was initially launched in 2001 as ''Dimensions'', pitched as a low-cost stream of tenuously linked programs to run in the 6.30pm timeslot from Monday to Thursday before the ''ABC News'' 7pm bulletin. George Negus
George Edward Negus AM (13 March 1942 – 15 October 2024) was an Australian journalist, author, television and radio presenter specialising in international affairs. He was a pioneer of Australian broadcast journalism, first appearing on the ABC's ''This Day Tonight'' and later on ''60 Minutes''. Negus was known for making complex international and political issues accessible to a broad audience through his down-to-earth, colloquial presentation style. His very direct interviewing technique occasionally caused confrontation, famously with Margaret Thatcher, but also led to some interviewees giving more information than they had given in other interviews. Recognition of his unique skills led to him hosting a new ABC show, '' Foreign Correspondent'', and '' Dateline'' on SBS. Jill Singer
Jill Leonie Singer (1957 – 8 June 2017) was an Australian journalist, writer and television presenter. Career Singer began her career in journalism as an ABC radio trainee in 1984. She eventually became a senior reporter for '' The 7.30 Report'' on the ABC and later presented the Victorian edition of ''Today Tonight'' on the Seven Network. Guy Noble
Guy Noble is an Australian musical composer, conductor, pianist and broadcaster. Noble studied piano in the early 1980s at the Sydney Conservatorium. On a scholarship from the Australia Council he travelled to London where he worked for four years, including a stint as presenter on BBC Radio 3. In 1984, he was pianist in the Sydney Youth Orchestra and from 1984 to 1986 in the Australian Youth Orchestra. James O'Loghlin (born 1966) is an Australian comedian, television and radio presenter. He works for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Local Radio evening program in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Norman Swan
Norman Swan (born Norman Swirsky in 1953) is a Scottish-born Australian physician, journalist and broadcaster. Life and career Swan was born in Glasgow, Scotland as Norman Swirsky.
