Michael Lee Aday (born Marvin Lee Aday; September 27, 1947 – January 20, 2022), known professionally by his stage name Meat Loaf, was an American singer and actor. He was known for his powerful, wide-ranging voice and theatrical live shows. Stoney & Meatloaf was a duet of singer Meat Loaf and Stoney (Shaun Murphy). They released one album in 1971: '' Stoney & Meatloaf''. Meat Loaf and Murphy had met previously in the Detroit music scene, and then performed with the Detroit cast of ''Hair''. Meat Loaf, whose name was styled "Meatloaf" on the album, had a minor hit "What You See Is What You Get". "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" is a song written by Jim Steinman and performed by American rock singer Meat Loaf with additional vocals by Lorraine Crosby. The song was released in August 1993 by MCA Records, MCA and Virgin Records as the first single from the singer's sixth album, ''Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell'' (1993). The last six verses feature Crosby, who was credited only as "Mrs. Loud" in the album notes. The Monster Is Loose
''Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose'' is the ninth studio album by Meat Loaf, and the third and final album in the ''Bat Out of Hell'' trilogy. It was released in Ireland on October 20, 2006, 29 years after ''Bat Out of Hell'' (1977), and 13 years after '' Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell'' (1993). It was released in the UK on October 23, 2006, and in the US on October 31, 2006. Produced by Desmond Child, it is the only ''Bat'' album not involving Jim Steinman in its production. The album was subject to a legal dispute between Meat Loaf and Steinman, who had registered the phrase "Bat Out of Hell" as a trademark and attempted to prevent the album using the phrase.
