Meyhane
A ''meyhane'' or ''pothouse'' (from ) is a traditional restaurant or bar (establishment), bar in Turkey, Balkans, Azerbaijan and Iran. It serves alcoholic beverages like wine, rakı, vodka, or beer, with meze and traditional foods. Etymology ''Meyhane'' means "wine house" and is composed of two Persian language, Persian words: (wine) and (house). The word entered the Serbian language, Serbian and Bulgarian languages as ''mehana'' (механа) and in Macedonian language, Macedonian as ''meana'' (меана). In Bosnian language the word is used. In Serbia, the word ''mehana'' is considered archaic, while in Bulgaria it refers to a restaurant with traditional food, decoration and music. Teresa Meana Suárez
Teresa Meana Suárez (Gijón, 1952) is a Spanish feminist activist, teacher, and philologist specializing in inclusive and non-sexist language. She has published numerous articles on the issue of language discrimination against women, specifically, in Spanish. Biography Meana has a degree in Romance Philology and has always worked as a Spanish language teacher in secondary education in Oviedo and Valencia, where she has lived for 25 years. She has been a member of the feminist movement since 1975. She met clandestinely with her colleagues at the university and attended student assemblies. They read the prohibited texts and soon organized themselves to organize conferences, debates, and talks that would flesh out those ideas that they defended with their heads and their own bodies. Meana di Susa (French: Méans) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 50 km west of Turin. Meana di Susa borders the municipalities of Susa, Gravere, Mattie, Usseaux, and Fenestrelle. The village name is derived from its original Latin name of ''Mediana'', signifying its location as the midpoint on the road from Paris to Rome. Residents are known as "Meanesi."
