The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. The Election Commission of Malaysia (; Jawi: ), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. The agency falls under the purview of the Prime Minister's Department. History The Election Commission (EC) was formed on 4 September 1957, under Article 114 of the Constitution of Malaysia, which empowers it to conduct elections for the Dewan Rakyat and state legislative bodies. The Most Esteemed Order of Loyalty to the Crown of Malaysia () is a Malaysian federal award presented for meritorious service to the country and awarded by the sovereign. The order was instituted on 15 April 1966 and gazetted on 30 June 1966. The order has three ranks. Order ranks Grand Commander The highest class of the order is the Grand Commander of the Order of Loyalty to the Crown of Malaysia (S.S.M.) (). The award recipient receives the title '' Tun'' and his wife '' Toh Puan''. The number of awards conferred is limited to 25 living recipients only at any time. The number does not include foreign citizens who receive it as an honorary award. The fourteen-pointed star and the collar is made from silver. 2018 Kelantan State Election
The 14th Kelantan State election was held on 9 May 2018, concurrently with the 2018 Malaysian general election. The previous state election was held on 5 May 2013. The state assemblymen is elected to 5 years term each. The Kelantan State Legislative Assembly would automatically dissolve on 13 June 2018, the fifth anniversary of the first sitting, and elections must be held within sixty days (two months) of the dissolution (on or before 13 August 2018, with the date to be decided by the Election Commission), unless dissolved prior to that date by the Head of State ( Sultan of Kelantan) on the advice of the Head of Government ( Menteri Besar of Kelantan). 2013 Kelantan State Election
The 13th Kelantan state election were held on 5 May 2013. Polling took place in 45 constituencies throughout the Malaysian state of Kelantan, with each electing a State Assemblyman to the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly. The election was conducted by the Malaysian Election Commission. The state election was held concurrently with the 2013 Malaysian general election. Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS), the governing party of the state, won the election with 32 seats. Its Pakatan Rakyat (PR) ally, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), won 1 seat, while the main opposition party of the state Barisan Nasional won the remaining 12 seats.
