Md Abu Tariq is a retired justice of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Career Abu Tariq served in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. In June 2008, Justice ABM Khairul Haque and Abu Tariq held hearings on suo moto contempt rule against Ekramul Huq and other journalists after a magazine published a report on a High Court judge whitening black money. Khairul Haque and Abu Tariq declared Contempt of Court Ordinance, 2008 illegal due to provision allowing "constructive criticism" of judgement. A. B. M. Khairul Haque (born 18 May 1944) is a Bangladeshi jurist, who served as the 19th Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the current chief of Bangladesh Law Commission. Muhammad Imman Ali (born 1 January 1956) is a retired justice in the Appellate Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. He is dual Nationality Bangladeshi/British. Early life Ali was born in East Bengal, Dominion of Pakistan (now Bangladesh) on 1 January 1956 to Israil Ali and Alifjan Bibi. Career Ali started his career as an advocate on 21 June 1979. From September 1998 to February 2001, Ali served as the Deputy Attorney General of Bangladesh. On 22 February 2001, Ali was appointed a Judge on the Bangladesh High Court.
