Md. Nurul Alam
Md. Nurul Alam is a Bangladeshi academic and a former Vice-chancellor of Jahangirnagar University served during 2022–2024. He is a professor of physics at the same university. He served as the Jahangirnagar University Teachers' Association president for three terms. Early life Alam was born in 1957 in Dhamrai Upazila, Dhaka District, East Pakistan, Pakistan. He did his bachelor's degree and masters in physics at Jahangirnagar University in 1976 and 1977 respectively. He did his PhD in economics in 1996 at Jahangirnagar University. Career Alam was a research fellow from 1 December 1980 to 30 November 1981 of the Department of Physics at Jahangirnagar University. On 28 April 1982, Alam became a lecturer at Jahangirnagar University. He was promoted to assistant professor on 1 July 1986. He was promoted to associate professor on 1 September 1992.
