He first gained prominence on CrossGen's ''Meridian (comics), Meridian'', before moving onto books such as ''Ultimate Secret'', ''Marvel Knights 4'', The New Avengers (comics), ''New Avengers'', and ''Civil War (comics), Civil War'', illustrating storylines such as "Old Man Logan." David Jonathan McNiven (born 27 May 1978) is an English footballer. He played as a striker and is now a sports scientist/PE teacher. He is a well-traveled player, having predominantly played in England but has also played football in Scotland and Sweden. Early life Born in Leeds, McNiven was raised in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, where he played junior football for the Y.M.C.A. juniors alongside Gavin McCann who went on to play for Bolton Wanderers and John Hills who went on to play for Blackpool. Club career McNiven came through the ranks at Oldham Athletic alongside his brother Scott, but struggled to establish himself with the Latics. After loan spells with Scarborough and in Sweden. Jock McNiven
John Graham McNiven (April 2, 1900 – September 27, 1969) was a mine engineer, mine operator and politician from the Northwest Territories, Canada. McNiven was a 1923 graduate of the University of Toronto (M.Sc. in Mining Engineering) and worked for several years in mining camps in Ontario. He first came to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories in 1938 to work as mill superintendent of Negus Mines Ltd. His family joined him in 1940. Upon the resignation of mine manager Bill Stuart, McNiven was promoted to this position in May 1939 where he remained until the mine closed in 1952. In 1946 he established a chapter of the Grand Lodge of Alberta (Freemason), the first lodge in the Northwest Territories. McNiven became the first member of the Legislative Assembly of Northwest Territories from the Arctic; in 1947 he was appointed to the council, for Yellowknife. Scott Andrew McNiven (born 27 May 1978) is an English-born Scottish footballer. He started his career at Oldham Athletic in 1995 before moving on to Oxford United in 2002. He jointly managed Hyde with Steve Halford at the end of the 2010–11 season, before returning a year later to take up the full manager's post. Daniel "Big Dan" McNiven was a Scottish football center forward who led the American Soccer League in scoring in 1922-1923. McNiven began his professional career in 1921 with Partick Thistle of the Scottish Football League. He played only five games before leaving Scotland for the United States. Upon reaching the U.S., he signed with Bethlehem Steel of the American Soccer League. David Scott McNiven (born 9 September 1955) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Born in Stonehouse, McNiven played for Leeds United, Bradford City, Blackpool, Pittsburgh Spirit, Halifax Town and Morecambe. He joined Leeds United at the age of 15, having been scouted by the club. McNiven signed for Bradford City in February 1978 from Leeds, leaving in February 1983 to join Blackpool. Edward McNiven (21 June 1827 – 4 January 1858) was an English lawyer and cricketer who played first-class cricket for Cambridge University, Surrey and various amateur sides between 1846 and 1851. He was born at Offley, Hertfordshire and died near Godstone, Surrey. McNiven was educated at Eton College and at Trinity College, Cambridge. At Eton, he played in the Eton v Harrow cricket matches of 1843 and 1844 primarily as a bowler.
