McLaren Report
The McLaren Report () is the name given to an independent report released in two parts by professor Richard McLaren (academic), Richard McLaren into allegations and evidence of state-sponsored doping in Russia. It was commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in May 2016. In July 2016, McLaren presented the first part of the report, indicating systematic state-sponsored subversion of the drug testing processes by the government of Russia during and subsequent to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. In December 2016, he published the second part of the report on doping in Russia. Richard McLaren (academic)
Richard Henry McLaren (born 1945) is a law professor at Western University in Ontario, Canada, specializing in sports law. In 2015, he was one of the three members of the WADA Commission, an independent panel commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency to investigate allegations of state-sponsored doping in Russian sports. He was awarded the Order of Canada with the grade of officer in 2015. Early life and education From 1964-1968, McLaren attended Huron University College at the University of Western Ontario for his undergraduate education. Yevgeniya Anatolyevna Shapovalova (; born 15 June 1986 in Nizhny Tagil) is a Russian cross-country skier who has been competing since 2006. Career At the 2010 Winter Olympics, she finished 28th in the individual sprint event. Alexey Yevgenyevich Petukhov (; born 28 June 1983) is a Russian cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skier who competed between 2002 and 2019. Maxim Mikhailovich Vylegzhanin (; born 18 October 1982) is a Russian former cross country skiing (sport), cross country skier and a three-time Olympic silver medalist at the 2014 Sochi Olympics in 50 km freestyle, 4 × 10 km relay and team sprint. He was stripped of his 2014 Winter Olympics, 2014 Olympic medals by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on 9 November 2017, however on 1 February 2018, his results were restored as a result of the successful appeal. Alexander Gennadiyevich Legkov (; born 7 May 1983) is a retired Russian cross-country skier who competed internationally between 2002 and 2017. He has five individual World Cup victories including one Tour de Ski title, as well as gold and silver medals at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Biography Legkov participated in three Winter Olympic Games (2006, 2010, 2014). He finished fourth after a strong final push to catch then-leader Johan Olsson of Sweden at the 2010 Winter Olympics' 30 km double pursuit. Yana Sergeyevna Romanova (; born 11 May 1983) is a retired Russian biathlete. She competed in various events at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics and won a silver medal in the 4×6 km relay in 2014. Olga Gennadyevna Vilukhina (; born 22 March 1988) is a former Russian biathlete, who was competing on the World Cup circuit since the 2008–09 season. The Biathlon World Championships 2021 took place in Pokljuka, Slovenia, from 9 to 21 February 2021. Host selection On 4 September 2016, Tyumen won the voting (25 votes) during the 12th IBU Congress in Chișinău in Moldova over Pokljuka in Slovenia (13 votes) and Nové Město na Moravě in the Czech Republic (11 votes).
