McCoy McLemore
McCoy McLemore Jr. (April 3, 1942 – April 30, 2009) was an American professional basketball player in the 1960s and 1970s. He played college basketball for Drake University. Basketball career Early years Born in Houston, Texas, McLemore attended Houston's Jack Yates High School. College McLemore first attended Moberly Area Community College, but then transferred to Drake University, leading his team to be co-Missouri Valley Conference champions. McLemore was inducted posthumously into the National Junior College Athletic Association Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. Professional career He was a third-round pick by the San Francisco Warriors in 1964. McLemore was a member of the Chicago Bulls' inaugural team after being selected in the 1966 expansion draft. Two years later, the Phoenix Suns drafted McLemore in the 1968 expansion draft. Rebound (basketball)
In basketball, a rebound, sometimes colloquially referred to as a board, is a statistic awarded to a player who retrieves the ball after a missed field goal or free throw. Rebounds in basketball are a routine part in the game; if a shot is successfully made possession of the ball will change, otherwise the rebound allows the defensive team to take possession. Rebounds are also given to a player who tips in a missed shot on his team's offensive end. A rebound can be grabbed by either an offensive player or a defensive player. Rebounds are divided into two main categories: "offensive rebounds", in which the ball is recovered by the offensive side and does not change possession, and "defensive rebounds", in which the defending team gains possession. The season ended with the Boston Celtics winning an unprecedented 8th straight NBA Championship, beating the Los Angeles Lakers 4 games to 3 in the 1966 NBA Finals. The 1964–65 NBA Season was the 19th season of the National Basketball Association. The season ended with the Boston Celtics winning their 7th straight NBA Championship, beating the Los Angeles Lakers 4 games to 1 in the NBA Finals. Eddie Doucette
Eddie Doucette (born June 15, 1940) is a former television and radio sportscaster and currently the president of Doucette Promotions Inc. Doucette was the original radio play-by-play voice of the Milwaukee Bucks, where he broadcast games for 16 years. During his career he also called games for various other NBA teams (including the Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers), for Major League Baseball teams (including the San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers), and for the WFL's Chicago Fire; and he has done various other sports including NFL football, college football, college basketball, PGA Tour golf, boxing, bowling and track and field events.
