Alton McCaskill IV (born April 10, 2003) is an American college football running back for the Arizona State Sun Devils. He previously played for the Houston Cougars and for the Colorado Buffaloes. Early life McCaskill attended Oak Ridge High School. He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Houston Cougars over schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. College career Houston In week three of the 2021 season, McCaskill rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Grambling State. He finished the season with 961 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns while also hauling in 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His 16 rushing touchdowns set a Houston freshman record. Amal Omari McCaskill (born October 28, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player, at the center position. After a four-year career at Marquette University, McCaskill was selected by the National Basketball Association's Orlando Magic with the 49th pick (2nd round) of the 1996 NBA Draft. He appeared in 4 seasons with as many teams: 1996-97 with Orlando, 2001-02 with the San Antonio Spurs, 2002-03 with the Atlanta Hawks and 2003-04 with the Philadelphia 76ers. After his release from Orlando in 1997 (and Philadelphia in 2004), McCaskill played as an import in Greece, Spain, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Italy and Lebanon. In the United States, McCaskill also appeared for the CBA's Fort Wayne Fury in 1997-98, and the Albany Patroons (2007–08). Billie June McCaskill, better known as June McCaskill (June 2, 1930 – May 9, 2001), was an American herbarium curator at the University of California, Davis and expert in weed identification. Life McCaskill was born in Altadena, in California. She grew up in Pasadena where her parents, Vern and Billie operated a nursery called McCaskill Gardens. She attended Mills College in 1949, and graduated with a degree in botany in 1951. She started her career at University of California, Davis in 1953, becoming the first curator of the Botany Department's Herbarium, a position that she held until her retirement. McCaskill specialised in the identification of weeds, and was particularly focused on agricultural weeds that were toxic to livestock. Claire Conner McCaskill (; born July 24, 1953) is an American politician who served as a United States Senator from Missouri from 2007 to 2019 and as State Auditor of Missouri from 1999 to 2007. McCaskill is a native of Rolla, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri and the University of Missouri School of Law. A member of the Democratic Party, McCaskill served as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 1983 to 1989, as Jackson County Prosecutor from 1993 to 1998, and as the 34th State Auditor of Missouri from 1999 to 2007. She ran for Governor of Missouri in the 2004 election, defeating Democratic incumbent Bob Holden in the Democratic primary and losing to Republican Matt Blunt in a close general election. Ted McCaskill
Edward Joel McCaskill (October 29, 1936 – March 3, 2016) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played four games in the National Hockey League and 91 games in the World Hockey Association between 1968 and 1974. He played with the Minnesota North Stars, and he then served as player-coach with the Los Angeles Sharks. Playing career McCaskill played junior hockey with the Kitchener Canucks and later the Kapuskasing Huskies, then made the move to the UK, playing two years in the British Ice Hockey Elite League. Upon returning to the US, he became a dominant force with the Nashville Dixie Flyers, and his offensive prowess earned the attention of NHL clubs, however, he would spend most of his playing years in the Western Hockey League with the Vancouver Canucks and Phoenix Roadrunners. Ian McCaskill
Ian McCaskill (born John Robertson McCaskill; 28 July 1938 – 10 December 2016) was a BBC weather forecaster. Early life McCaskill attended Queen's Park Secondary in Glasgow, and then the University of Glasgow, where he studied geology and chemistry. Career McCaskill joined the RAF in 1959 as part of his National Service and became an airman meteorologist, first in Scotland and then in Cyprus. He once joked that when he joined the RAF he was given a choice between Catering and Meteorology, he did not know what meteorology was but he knew he could not cook. He left the RAF in 1961 and joined the Met Office, working at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, Malta and Manchester. In 1978, McCaskill began working at the BBC Weather Centre, and presented the weather forecast for the BBC on both television and radio. He retired on 31 July 1998. Kirk Edward McCaskill (born April 9, 1961) is a Canadian-American former Major League Baseball pitcher and former professional ice hockey player. He played in Major League Baseball for the California Angels and Chicago White Sox between 1985 and 1996, and played in the American Hockey League for the Sherbrooke Jets during the 1983–84 season. Early life McCaskill was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, where his father Ted McCaskill was playing for the local senior league hockey team at that time. Vern McCaskill
Vern McCaskill (January 1, 1902 – March 23, 1992) was a nurseryman active in southern California for much of the 20th century who specialised in breeding Camellia and Azalea cultivars. He was the father of the botanist and herbarium curator June McCaskill. Early life In June 1918, McCaskill was recruited from Missouri, and admitted to the United States Naval Academy at the age of 16. While enrolled he met Billie Lee Nowlin, then a student at Drury University and they soon married. This led to his dismissal from the academy in March 1919, "since a midshipman at the Academy could not have a wife, a horse, or a beard," and it ended his military career. The newlyweds went to California for their honeymoon, and initially returned to Missouri before relocating in the early 1920s.
