Maçanet de Cabrenys is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of Alt Empordà, Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It also belongs to the ''subcomarca'' of Alta Garrotxa. It includes the villages of Arnera, Les Creus, Les Mines, Les Salines, Tapis, Els Vilars, and Oliveda. It is situated at the foot of the Eastern Pyrenees, with the Rivers Arnera and Frausa. It has numerous springs, which makes it attractive for tourism, the largest source of revenue, together with dryland farming and animal husbandry. It has a water bottling facility. The center (370 m) is located in a valley between the two highest points of the municipal territory, the ''Puig de Les Salines'' (1331 m) and the ''roc de Frausa'' (1445 m). Besalú
Besalú () is a town in the ''comarca'' of Garrotxa, in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. The town's importance was greater in the early Middle Ages, as capital of the county of Besalú, whose territory was roughly the same size as the current ''comarca'' of Garrotxa but sometime extended as far as Corbières, Aude, in France. Wilfred the Hairy, credited with the unification of Catalonia, was Count of Besalú. The town was also the birthplace of Raimon Vidal, a medieval troubadour. Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda
Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda (; ca, Els Banys i Palaldà) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France. Prior to 1942, it was known as Amélie-les-Bains. Reynès
Reynès (; ca, Reiners) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France. Geography Reynès is in the canton of Le Canigou and in the arrondissement of Céret. Population Talc Reynès was home to a very productive talc mine which operated from 1876 to 1987. The extracted talc was used in various industries: soap making in Marseilles, porcelain making in Limoges and leather curing. In 1929 the mine installed an aerial wire system to facilitate the transportation of wagons down into the deep valley. In 1930, 440 tons of talc were extracted from the mine.
