Mazzarrone is a Sicilian variety of table grapes, characterized by sweet bulbs of considerable size. It is cultivated in the area between the municipal territories of Mazzarrone, Caltagirone and Licodia Eubea (in the province of Catania) and Acate, Chiaramonte Gulfi and Comiso (in the province of Ragusa). Comiso
Comiso ( scn, U Còmisu), is a comune of the Province of Ragusa, Sicily, southern Italy. As of 2017, its population was 29,857. History In the past Comiso has been incorrectly identified with the ancient Greek colony of Casmene.
