Mazhar Abro
Mazhar Abro ( Sindhi: مظھر ابڙو) is a prominent short story writer, novelist, playwright and poet from Sindh, Pakistan. His literary appreciation began with the "Shah Abdul Lateef Bhittai National Award" by Pakistan Academy of letters Islamabad. Early life Mazhar Abro was born as Mazhar Hussain Abro. He was born to Manzoor Hussain Abro on 25 April 1971 in village Kolab Jial of Khairpur District, Sindh, Pakistan. Abro completed his early education at his village Kolab Jial, Khairpur and then his secondary education at Comprehensive High School, Khairpur. He affiliated himself with Pakistan Degree College, Khairpur for Graduation, and obtained a master's degree in Sindhi literature and economics from Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. Khairpur District (, ) is a district in the Pakistani province of Sindh in Sukkur Division. Sindhi ( ; or , ) is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by more than 30 million people in the Pakistani province of Sindh, where it has official status, as well as by 1.7 million people in India, where it is a Scheduled languages of India, scheduled language without state-level official status. Sindhi Literature
Sindhi literature () is the collection of oral and written literature in the Sindhi language in prose (romantic tales and epic stories) and poetry (''ghazals'' and '' nazm''). The Sindhi language of the province of Sindh in Pakistan is considered one of the oldest languages of ancient India, and influenced the language of Indus Valley inhabitants. Sindhi literature has developed over a thousand years. According to historians Nabi Bux Baloch, Rasool Bux Palijo, and G. M. Syed, Sindhi influenced Hindi in the pre-Islamic era. Shah Abdul Latif University (, ; abbreviated as SALU), is a public research university in Khairpur, Pakistan. The university is named after the mystic poet and spiritualist Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.
