Mazen Sinokrot
Mazen Sinokrot ( ar, مازن سنقرط) is a Palestinian businessman who founded Sinokrot Global Group established in 1982. Family and early life Mazen was born in East Jerusalem on 30 November 1954. In 1980, Sinokrot received a BSC in Industrial Engineering and Production Management with honors from The University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Business career Sinokrot is the founder of Sinokrot Holding, the leading family owned business in Palestine with regard to investment size and number of employees. SGG focuses its investments in Food and Agro-Industries, Agriculture, Tourism and Hospitality, Trade and Consumable products, and Information Technology. East Jerusalem (, ; , ) is the sector of Jerusalem that was held by Jordan during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, as opposed to the western sector of the city, West Jerusalem, which was held by Israel. The Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) was established in 2003 as an independent investment company aiming to strengthen the local economy through strategic investments, while maximising long-run returns for its ultimate shareholder; the people of Palestine. It was created by a transfer of assets previously managed by the Palestinian Authority. Since January 2009, Mohammad Mustafa has been the chairman and co-president of the company.
