Mayumi Ohkutsu (; born July 12, 1968, in Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan) as Mayumi Seguchi; also known as Mayumi Seguchi-Ohkutsu, Mayumi Seguchi-Okutsu) is a Japanese curler, a five-time (1991, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997) and a six-time Japan women's champion (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998). Obihiro
is a Cities of Japan, city in Tokachi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. Obihiro is the only designated city in the Tokachi Subprefecture, Tokachi area. is a Japanese singer. She debuted as a singer with her husband Ryuji Fujita as the duo Le Couple. Their first album was released in 1994. Fujita made her solo debut in 2001. Her series of ''Camomile'' CDs are covers of popular western songs. ''Rembrandt Sky'' is her first original album, a collaboration with music producers Toshiyuki Mori, Seiji Kameda and Yoshiyuki Sahashi. Several of her solo albums have charted in Japan, including ''Camomile Best Audio'', which reached number 27 on the Oricon chart. She has also found some success in Southeast Asia. was an Issei journalist, activist, and feminist, who was among the first Japanese American women to publish a memoir in English. Life She was born Tanaka Ayako in Tokyo, Japan in 1903, the daughter of a college professor. During the 1920s, she became active in politics. While in the United States, she became friends with writers Pearl S. Buck, Helen Kuo, and Agnes Smedley and artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi. Tanaka first came to the United States in 1926, accompanying her sister, whose husband, a diplomat, was posted to Washington, D.C. She briefly attended classes at George Washington University. Soon after, she moved to New York City, where she audited courses at Columbia University. In New York, she met the painter Eitaro Ishigaki, whom she would marry in 1931.
