Maysor
Maysor (; ) is a salt lake in Bayanaul District, Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan. There are important ancient burial grounds near the lake. Close to the southwest there is an open-air extraction site of sulphide ore and a sulphide plant. Maysor is located to the west of Ekibastuz city. Bozshakol village lies to the southwest. Geography Maysor is an endorheic lake in the basin of the Shiderti river. The shore is overgrown with reeds. The surrounding area is used as pasture for local cattle. In summers of drought the lake dries and becomes a salt swamp.Google Earth Maysor is located in a slight depression of the Kazakh steppe. Lake Teniz lies to the WSW. Teniz, Yereymentau District
Teniz (; ) is a Bittern (salt), bittern salt lake in Yereymentau District, Akmola Region, Kazakhstan. Yereymentau lies to the southwest. Teniz is part of an Important Bird Area and the Buiratau National Park, a protected area, lies to the south of the lake. Geography Teniz is an endorheic lake in the basin of the Olenti (Auliekol), Olenti river, northeast of the Yereymentau Mountains. The lake has two prominent headlands, one in the northern shore and the other in the southern, dividing the lake into wide bays and a peninsula.Google Earth Teniz is located in a depression west of lake Kobeituz, its smaller and more well-known neighbor. Sentinel-2
Sentinel-2 is an Earth observation mission from the Copernicus Programme that acquires optical imagery at high spatial resolution (10 m to 60 m) over land and coastal waters. The mission's Sentinel-2A and Sentinel-2B satellites were joined in orbit in 2024 by a third, Sentinel-2C, and in the future by Sentinel-2D, eventually replacing the A and B satellites, respectively. The mission supports services and applications such as agricultural monitoring, emergencies management, land cover classification, and water quality. Sentinel-2 has been developed and is being operated by the European Space Agency. The satellites were manufactured by a consortium led by Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Salt Swamp
A salt marsh, saltmarsh or salting, also known as a coastal salt marsh or a tidal marsh, is a coastal ecosystem in the upper coastal intertidal zone between land and open saltwater or brackish water that is regularly flooded by the tides. It is dominated by dense stands of salt-tolerant plants such as herbs, grasses, or low shrubs. These plants are terrestrial in origin and are essential to the stability of the salt marsh in trapping and binding sediments. Salt marshes play a large role in the aquatic food web and the delivery of nutrients to coastal waters. They also support terrestrial animals and provide coastal protection.
