Mayer Andrés Gil Hurtado (born 7 September 2003) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Categoría Primera A club Alianza. Born in Colombia, he represents El Salvador at international level. Club career FAS Gil started his career with FAS. Alianza Petrolera He made his debut for Alianza Petrolera as a substitute against Millonarios during the 2022 season in a 4–2 loss. Gil scored his first league goals for Alianza Petrolera on March 10, 2023 where he came on as a substitute and went on to score twice in a 3–2 win over Deportivo Pasto. On 19 May 2023, Mayer Gil signed a new 3-year contract extension with the club. The 2023 Categoría Primera A season (officially known as the 2023 Liga BetPlay Dimayor season for sponsorship purposes) is the 76th season of the Categoría Primera A, Colombia's top-flight football league. The 2020–21 Primera División de El Salvador (also known as the Liga Pepsi) is the 22nd season and 43rd and 44th Primera División tournament, El Salvador's top football division, since its establishment of an Apertura and Clausura format. Alianza F.C. and Once Deportivo de Ahuachapan are the defending champions of both Apertura and Clausura tournaments respectively. The league will consist of 12 teams. There will be two seasons conducted under identical rules, with each team playing a home and away game against the other clubs for a total of 22 games per tournament.
