Eva Konstantinova Maydell (; ''née'' Paunova, ; born 26 January 1986) is a Bulgarian politician who is a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). A member of the GERB party, she also served as the president of the European Movement International from 2017 to 2023. Maydell was first elected to the European Parliament in 2014 at age 28, the youngest member of the EPP Group at the time. She was re-elected in 2019 and is serving her second term as an MEP. Eveline Adelheid von Maydell ( Frank; 19 May 1890 in Tehran – 24 December 1962 in Sintra) was an ethnic German silhouette artist. Born in Iran, she studied drawing in Pärnu, Estonia, in Riga, Latvia and in St. Petersburg, Russia. She moved to the United States in 1922. Several of her artworks were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in the 1920s, and again in the 1940s. Viktor Karl Jakob von Maydell (28 August 1838 – 27 January 1898), Baron von Maydell, was a Baltic German railway engineer and politician who was the mayor of Reval (now Tallinn) from December 1885 to July 1894. Biography Von Maydell was born in what is now Haapsalu, Estonia, but studied first in Heidelberg and then studied engineering at ETH Zurich, where he graduated as an engineer. In Zürich, he was one of the founders of the Corps Baltica-Borussia Danzig zu Bielefeld. After his return to Russia, he joined the railway administration and was the section engineer of the Odessa-Tiraspol section of the Odessa Railway from 1863 to 1872 and the departmental engineer at the Elisavetgrad-Kremenchuk and Kremenchuk-Kharkiv railways. From 1872 to 1873, he was an independent manager of the railway construction on the railway line from Snamenka to Nikolayev.
