May 25th Pact
The May 25th Pact (in Spanish Pacto del 25 de Mayo), commonly known as the Pacto de Mayo, is a pact proposed by Argentina's President of Argentina, President, Javier Milei, to the governors of the 23 Provinces of Argentina as well as to the head of government of the capital, Buenos Aires. It is based on 10 outline points proposed by the government. Details On March 1, 2024, Milei announced the Pact during the opening of the 142° ordinary session of the National Congress of Argentina, National Congress. The ten points are: #The defense of private property #Balanced budget #Reduction of public spending #Tax reform #Renegotiation of federal tax sharing #Provinces will exploit natural resources #Labor reform to promote formal labor #A provisional reform of pensions #Political reform #Free trade The Pact was postponed due to issues with the Law of Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines and the fiscal packet in the Plenary Commission of the Argentine Senate. Casa De Tucumán
The Historical House of Tucumán (, officially "Casa Histórica de la Independencia") is a historic building and museum located in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, built during the Colonial Argentina, colonial times. The Congress of Tucumán worked in this house during the Argentine War of Independence, and issued the Argentine Declaration of Independence on July 9, 1816. It was nationalized decades later, and partially demolished for its poor condition. It was declared a List of National Historic Monuments of Argentina, National Historic Monument of Argentina in 1941, and reconstructed, with simplified details, in its original layout. History The city of San Miguel de Tucumán was first founded in Ibatín in 1565. For strategic reasons, it was left and founded again in its current location in 1685.
