Maxim Naumov (figure Skater)
Maxim Naumov (born August 1, 2001) is an American figure skater. He is a three-time U.S. national pewter medalist and the 2020 U.S. junior national champion. Naumov finished within the top five at the 2020 World Junior Championships. Personal life Maxim Naumov was born on August 1, 2001, in Hartford, Connecticut. His parents, Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova, were the 1994 World Champions in pairs for Russia. Naumov previously competed in gymnastics as a child. After graduating from Simsbury High School in 2019, he began attending ASU Online. Naumov has cited his figure skating influences as being Olympic champions Evgeni Plushenko and Yuzuru Hanyu, as well as his parents. 2025 Potomac River Mid-air Collision
On January 29, 2025, a Bombardier CRJ700 airliner operating as American Airlines Flight 5342 (operated by PSA Airlines as American Eagle) and a United States Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter operating as Priority Air Transport 25 collided mid-air over the Potomac River in Washington, D.C.. The collision occurred at 8:47 p.m. at an altitude of about and about one-half mile (800 m) short of runway 33 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Virginia. All 67 people aboard both aircraft were killed in the crash, including 64 passengers and crew on the airliner and the three crew of the helicopter. 2017–18 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2017–18 ISU Junior Grand Prix was a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union that were held from August 2017 through December 2017. It was the junior-level complement to the 2017–18 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Medals were awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Ryan Dunk
Ryan Dunk (born October 14, 2000) is a retired American competitive figure skater. He is the 2019 U.S. Junior National gold medalist and the 2019 Asian Open Trophy bronze medalist. Personal life Ryan Dunk was born on October 14, 2000. He began skating in 2009 after his mother brought him to a rink and he participated in a group lesson. In an Instagram post on October 14, 2021, Ryan Dunk came out as gay. Career 2018–19 season Dunk began his season by competing in the 2018 JGP series. At the 2018 JGP Slovakia, he placed sixth, while he placed fifth at the 2018 JGP Armenia. The International Challenge Cup (formerly known as the Ennia Challenge Cup and the Aegon Cup) is an annual figure skating competition generally held in the Netherlands during the last week in February. Gardena Trophy
The Egna Spring Trophy (formerly the Gardena Spring Trophy) is an annual international figure skating competition which is generally held every spring in Val Gardena in Italy. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, and pair skating. Since its inception in 1990, the event has included a junior-level competition.
